Summer Pre-Algebra Online LIVE CLass

This summer, I will be teaching a Pre-Algebra class.  The class will be 10 1-hour sessions, and I plan to cover topics such as percents, proportions, ratios, multiplying and dividing decimals, perimeter, area, volume, etc. .

Book I Will Be Using

I plan to use the book How to Be Good at Math.

This book has some nice visual aids.  You can go check out its reviews on Amazon.

Homework Will be Given

Students will be assigned homework.  Parents will be given the solutions so they can check the homework for the student.

The class Will be ONLINE LIVE

I will be using Zoom to teach the class. It’s like Skype except it allows me to have a “classroom” of people and not just one person, and it allows me to record.  The student can view the class from a computer or laptop. If they view it from a computer, they just click on a link that I send to them. If the student views the class on a tablet or cell phone, he/she will first need to download the free Zoom app. If you use a computer, make sure it has video and audio capabilities.

If your student has the video switched on, not only will I be able to see your student but other students will be as well.  You do have the option to have your video turned OFF and the student will STILL BE able to see me, but no one will be able to see your student.

Who is this Class For

Ideally, a child would have seen at least most of the topics before he/she takes the class.  In my opinion, this class is best used as a review of the topics.

Class Dates

I plan to do the class on Mondays/Wednesdays starting the middle of June.  The dates of the class are June 18, 20, 25, 27, July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25.  I also plan to do a bonus free class for a total of 11 classes.

Cost of the Class

The class costs $150.  A $25 deposit is due by May 1, 2018, and the remaining balance is due by May 18, 2018.  Payment will be made via paypal.  After you register for the class, I will send you a paypal invoice.
